Neil Duncanson
Neil Duncanson has built North One Television into one of Britain’s most creative and successful independent production companies, where he is now the Chair. Neil joined the music giant Chrysalis as a freelance Producer in 1990 to head a TV sports team of just three.

The company now boasts entertainment, comedy, factual, music, sport and commercial programming, with offices in London, Birmingham and Los Angeles.
All3media is one of the world’s biggest media outfits and is owned by American giants Liberty Global and Discovery, itself owned by Red Bird IMI.
North One’s current roster includes The Gadget Show, Fifth Gear, Travel Man, Paul Hollywood’s Big Continental Road Trip, Ronnie O’Sullivan’s Hustle, Storage Hunters UK, Gadget Man, all Guy Martin’s programming, the Isle of Man TT, Formula E and MotoGP.
During his time at North One he has collected three BAFTA awards for the company’s Formula One coverage; won fourteen Royal Television Society Awards for a wide variety of sports programming; became the first promoter of the World Rally Championship, launched Football Italia on Channel 4, devised the Premier League All Stars event, ran the Audi Channel and even produced the UK’s first live TV commercial with Honda.
Before joining Chrysalis, Neil learnt his trade with London’s nightly Thames News, where he even made occasional on-screen appearances as a reporter; then LWT current affairs and the National Film School. He started life as a newspaper journalist in East London, then Fleet Street, before moving into TV.
